Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in San Francisco. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ2 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I spotted Dartealing Lounge several times when riding by on a SF Muni bus going from Caltrain towards downtown. A lover of tea, I was happy to finally try it with a friend this past weekend. The experience was good. π Ambiance: the lounge is in an old (historic) building on 3rd Street in SOMA. The long room has a cozy feel with the cutest dΓ©cor (decorative lamps, chintz curtains, a variety of seats and photos). It is spacious compared to another SF (Noe Valley) tea room Iβd visited years ago - giving you some privacy. Food: the Proper Tea service was what the two of us ordered. It is two pots of tea (separate flavors) in gorgeous heavy china teapots and a 3-tiered plated tower with a mix of savory and sweet creations. We happened to be at the lounge while the June menu was « Latin flavorΒ Β». My absolute favorite things were the tea sandwiches. The shop makes their own sauces and recipes for these. There were two corn (elote), two chicken salad and two cucumber sandwich triangles per person - basically we each ended up with 1.5 entire full-sized sandwiches on soft white and brown bread. The acclaimed scone was just okay. I found having my scone sliced already and a spot of clotted cr

Celebrated my annual birthday tea here and it was everything I wanted and more. The space is so charming and whimsical, you instantly feel relaxed and happy. The owners are absolute angels and made hosting a group feel effortless. The tea service was delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet treats and savory bites, all clearly made with care. My friends were obsessed and kept saying how darling it was. Truly one of those places you want to come back to again and again.

OMG so much fun. The food was excellent, tea was delicious, and environment was beyond charming. I highly recommend trying this at least once. The flavors were an inventive, global version of high tea. DO make a reservation, they only offer the afternoon tea on weekends. Unless there is a game happening (though it explicitly says no game parking), the side street is good for parking. P.s. If they have baja fish sandwich, say yes.

This place deserves five stars. We were lucky to dine on the last day of the Asian-inspired menu, and boy oh boy, did I feel pampered. The black sesame scone was the best scone I ever had in my life. All the sandwiches and little bites were unique and flavorful. Our group had 1 pescatarian and they went above and beyond to accommodate. Sweet and knowledgeable staff.

Really lovely afternoon tea service. The interior is cozy and welcoming; a place that doesn't shy away from a little self expression and whimsy. The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It's clearly a small creative team working on something they love. When the tea tray came out, it was absolutely bursting with delicious food; savory finger sandwiches, scones still slightly warm from the oven, and teas that were perfectly paired with the meal. I will definitely be back soon and cant wait to recommend Dartealing Lounge to my friends.
